In
addition to making films, I have filmed over 500
hours of high definition footage for a variety of
productions in conditions ranging from -30F to
120F. I have shot with the Sony HDW F900, 700,
730 and 750 and with Panasonic Varicam and the
new P2 format.
I
have filmed both predator and prey, large and
small, two legged, four legged, winged,
feathered, furred, big teeth, small teeth, no
teeth, on land and in water.
I
love technology, I love artistry. I am always
striving to balance the two to get the perfect
shots.
As
an editor as well, I have learned through my
experiences what it means to shoot for edit.
Keeping in mind how shots will be cut and how the
shot can best tell the story is a passion of
mine.
My
footage has been broadcast on National
Geographic, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, PBS
and internationally. I have also shot for feature
documentaries.
I
love light and the study of how light can affect
images. After having filmed The Little Red Truck,
where all footage was filmed indoors on stages
around the country, I have gained much experience
in using light to create different moods.
